The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physiology beginning August 15th 2024

Required qualifications for this position include:
– Ph.D. in the biological sciences or related fields
– Excellent record of innovative research and academic scholarship broadly related to physiology and studying molecular mechanisms of human diseases at the organismal level.
– The candidate is expected to have a record of postdoctoral training and peer-reviewed publications, the potential to secure extramural funding, a commitment to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and mentor a diverse student population.

Applicants with research interests complementing the Department of Biological Sciences research foci, including Proteostasis, Genome Integrity and Cancer Biology, Immunology/Microbiology/Virology, will be preferred.
